Although we still recommend having a separate social presence on YouTube and/or Vimeo to boost your searchability, you can now upload your own videos directly to your website in pretty much any format you choose. Self-hosted videos allows you to bring all of the advantages of video to your website without the additional time requirements of uploading to a separate host.

Taking advantage of direct video uploads is as easy as selecting the "Video" option from the appropriate panels including our Video Widget and on any row or column backgrounds you desire. Your videos will look great on all devices and can be customized by choosing to display controls, auto-play, loop and mute.

Like everything we do, we've made sure your direct video uploads play nice with the rest of the Internet. Your videos will be optimized and served in MP4 format and will not slow down your site speed or degrade your Lighthouse score.
